Update Africa 2013 at last...

Hello all from the four of us Alice, Aleicyn, Zac and Drew,

The trip is going well but we just have not had the internet that we need to post photos.

Day One we spent in London. The four of us did Harrods,Buckingham Palace, Big Ben the Houses of Parliment, Piccadilly Circus and too many other places to mention.

Day 2-5 -Johannesburg-- mainly visiting family. We also visited the LION PARK where Aleicyn was  able to pet a lion cub and feel a giraffe.  Petting the lion cub was cool but having the giraffe eat out of your hand was pretty yucky!!!! Giraffes slobber a lot!!

Day 6-10 we travelled to St Lucia in Kwa Zulu Natal . This is an unbelievable area with lots of hippos . We returned from dinner one night to find two Hippos grazing in the garden...this was amazing!  The following afternoon Alice had her first run in with cheeky monkeys. One came into our room ...opened the bread rolls and helped himself...these monkeys are a huge problem!!!!

Day 10-15 Kruger National Park--- one of our favorite places in the world , We saw a herd of elephants before we even got to the camp we were staying in. The following morning we saw a male lion.  He touched our car as he passed by us...that is how close we got to him.... it was awesome!!!
We also saw all sorts of black and white Rhino and hundreds of elephant, giraffe and impala and kudu, On our last morning as we were leaving the park we saw three hyenas....what an awesome way to end our visit.

We flew from Johannesburg to Cape Town today.  The weather is fantastic and we thought it would be rainy.  We are here for six nights then back to Johannesburg for a few days then back to hot Louisiana.
I will post some pics as soon as I can but it may only be when we get home. This is Africa....
