Today we were both off work and took our first trip to the 15 mile mark in Denali National Park. There are actually 92 miles of road and at certain times of the year, weather permittng, you can go all the way to the end. We hope to do this before our summer here ends.
At the 8 mile mark on a good day you can see Mt McKinley 75 miles away. We picked a perfect day to see it( pics attached). It is the big mountain covered in snow in the distance.
We hiked the Savage River trail an easy 2 mile walk along a beautiful river.
To top the day off on the way back we were walking along one of the trails and Alice saw her first moose.
