South America Adventure Part One Quito and the Amazon Jungle

We left Baton Rouge late and yes we missed our connection and were Delta's guests once again in Atlanta...we arrived in Quito a day late but all was well we were not meeting our Tour Group till August 20th we had a few days to spare and explored Quito Photos attached.
We met the group of 16 0n the 20th and it is a wide and varied group cosisting of Australians , New Zealanders, British and Americans our guide Daniela is from Ecuador.
We spent at day at the Equator in Spanish "Mitado Del Mundo" in English "Middle of the world"...again Photos attached.
Then on to the Amazon Jungle our Jungle Lodge was great the food was fantastic and the activities included, Jungle Hike, Tubing down a tributary of the Amazon riding in a motorised canoe to an Indiginous Indian Village where we watched the locals panning for gold, making pottery, making beer from Sweet potatoe and Suger Cane....aaagh it was awful again pics should be attached.
The downside of the jungle experience was no electricity no windows just screens and no hot water.
We are now in Banos, Ecuador for three days and a good clean up our first hot shower was fantastic.
More to follow soon....
