Puerto Varas to Bariloche
Out travels from Pucon to Puerto Varas took us from inland scenery with volcanoes to waterside views with snow capped mountains. Puerto Varas is located on a lake with black beaches. This was our first time to see black beaches....not nearly as inviting for sun bathing as white beaches.....blustry winds and cloudy skies dismissed any thoughts of sun bathing.
Traveling Chile to Bariloche astounded us with the beauty of snow capped mountains and more lakes. Bariloche is a beautiful ski resort town with lots of beauty and good food. We went to the top of a beautiful mountain on a cable car and was totally overwhelmed by the beauty of the snow capped mountains, national forests, and beautiful lakes. It is spring in South America all of the flowers that we are used to seeing at home are in brilliant bloom. It is very hard to think about coming home to winter when you are surrounded by the sights and sounds of spring. We have enjoyed our visit to Bariloche....this afternoon we leave on our last and longest bus ride of this adventure. We arrive in Buenos Aires tomorrow and our trip officially ends on the 25th. Our plan at this time is to stay in Buenos Aires until Saturday however, the sights and sounds of home are calling loudly....we may see you sooner rather than later....
