Lima Peru and south to Pisco and Nazca

Lima was another big city with some nice old buildings.
We then went on to the small town of Pisco where we took a boat tour of the Ballesta Islands, this was fantastic we seen Penguins all sorts of birds and lots of Sea Lions.
Then back through the Peruvian Desert to another small town called Nazca, this is the town near the famous Lines of Nazca this is markings in the desert depicting trees animals and other shapes...google Nazca Lines for more information.
It is the 200th anniversary of the Vigin of Guadalupe and the town is having all sorts of celebrations. Peru is 80 percent catholic and they seem to take their religion very seriously.
Unfortunately Peru is very poor and it is very saddening to see such poverty.
Tonight we take an overnight bus to Arequipa....more pics to follow soon.
Footnote the pictures shown are of an Oasis in the desert the Nasca Lines as seen from a veiwing platform our boat trip to the Ballesta Islands and unfortunately I posted a photo out of sequence of one of the three Volcanoe's in Arequipa it is called Misty.
